The Kernow Recovery Community is run by a group of our dedicated Experts by Experience who are committed to supporting others on their journey to recovery.
Our Story
The Kernow Recovery Community (KRC) evolved from the need for a safe space for people in early recovery, either from drugs and alcohol or mental health. The experts by experience were employed in 2022 originally as employees of the Complex Needs team in Cornwall Council to implement system change and to develop a safe space for people in recovery- now known as the Kernow Recovery Community!
During our opening hours of 10-3, we provide a safe space to build connections with peers accessing the service, facilitated by our Experts by Experience, but also providing structured activities to improve mental health and life skills needed when achieving independence in everyday life.
